We have several measures in place to ensure Artistter is a fair and reliable marketplace. Artistter makes it easy by displaying creatives’ professional profile and their art gallery.

Artistter user Profile. Artistter makes it easy by displaying user’s profile with detailed information about their education, work experience, awards & achievements, reviews & recommendations and much more.

Art gallery. Art gallery is a virtual workstation of a creative on Artistter. It helps buyer to get familiar with artists and their artwork.

Have question, discuss with seller. If you need custom work or have specific questions about your project needs, simply send a message and initiate a conversation.

Order discussion & delivery. Every order is built in with easy chat between seller & buyer. Exchange your work files and details right under order page.

Service Fulfillment Code (SFC). Artistter’s unique service fulfillment code technology brings peace of mind to buyer. Every service order that buyer purchases on Artistter come with unique Service Fulfillment Code (SFC) proprietary technology. Once the buyer makes the payment, Artistter generates an unique SFC for that order. Seller is required to complete the order in order to get paid with SFC that he needs to request from buyer. So buyer has the ultimate power to protect his order if he is not happy with the service or find it fraudulent.

How do I hire an artist on Artistter?

After you signup, explore creative services under marketplace by filtering the listings by services. Click the "Hire me" button on each service listing to get started.

Secured transactions – Pay easily with peace of mind

Artistter makes paying an order simple and secure. Buy a product or service listing and pay the order with PayPal or PayUmoney

Mode of Payment.
  • Debit/Credit Cards. Pay using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Maestro, Rupay Amex or PayPal.
  • Netbanking. Available for Indian buyers & sellers.
  • Secure transactions. We take your privacy very seriously. Every transaction on Artistter is private and secured.
  • Service Fulfillment Guarantee. As a buyer you hold the power to make payment to your hired creative. Send SFC to seller only if you are happy with work. As a seller, you will need to complete the order by requesting SFC from buyer. We work closely with sellers make sure you are rightly paid for your hard work. We will try to help resolve any dispute that may arise between buyer & seller.
  • Detailed invoices. Access your invoices and transaction history on Artistter buyer and seller account.

Transaction Fees

No surprises for buyer. Simply pay the amount for each listed order price for product listing or the amount agreed upon with the artist you hired for service listing.

Buyer

Low commissions for Seller. We cover our fair share and costs by collecting a flat platform fees of 5% on each transaction above $20 and 5% plus $ 0.50 for each transaction less than $20.

Payment Gateways

Artistter provides following two payment gateways for simple and easy transactions.

  • Transaction using PayPal account option: For a transaction within USA, PayPal charges a fee of 2.9% of the transaction amount plus a fixed fee based on the currency. For a transaction outside USA, PayPal charges a fee of 4.4% of the transaction amount plus a fixed fee based on the currency. See more details for PayPal fees and other rules.
  • Transaction using PayPal credit or debit card option: For a transaction within USA, fees per transaction is 5.4% + 0.30 USD. When receiving payments, there’s an additional charge of up to 3.5% for any currency conversion. See more details for PayPal fees and other rules.
  • PayUmoney: Average transaction fees for PayUmoney is 2.9% per successful transaction. See more details here for PayUmoney fees.

Once the listing is sold on Artistter, Artistter keeps its platform fees and commission and deducts the payment gateway fees as required to make online payment.

  • Listing Price $20 and up:

    Artistter charges flat commission of 5% plus applicable payment gateway fees

  • Listing Price below $20:

    Artistter charges flat commission of 5% plus $0.50 for each successful transaction.

* Note about Payment Gateway Fees: So that we can provide the lowest commission platform in the market, Sellers are responsible for the online payment gateway processing fees and payment receiving fees into your bank account from payment gateways like PayPal and PayUMoney.

Payment Gateway Fees:

Artistter uses PayPal as default payment gateway for all the transactions. In addition to PayPal, Artistter also uses PayU Money for transactions within India.

PayPal

  • For transactions within USA, PayPal merchant fees is 2.9% + $0.30 for credit card processing.

  • For NON-USA transactions (International sales), PayPal merchant fees is 4.4% + fixed fee based on currency received.

e.g., if your listing price is $100 and it is sold within USA

  • Artistter’s commission would be flat 5% which is $5 ;
  • PayPal transaction fees would be 2.9% + 30 cents which would be $3.2.

After deducting above commission and fees, Seller will receive: $100– $5– $3.2= $91.8

PayU money

  • For PayU Money charges flat *2.9% as payment gateway fees for all transaction within India.

e.g., if your painting listing price is ₹1000 and it is sold within India

  • Artistter’s commission would be flat 5% which is ₹50 ;

  • PayU money transaction fees would be 2.9% which would be ₹29.

  • Applicable GST RATE

    GST rate is 12 % per SCHEDULE V: LIST OF GOODS for creative products like paintings and drawings

    GST rate is 18% for wooden work per SCHEDULE VI: LIST OF GOODS

    GST rate is 5% for textile work per SCHEDULE IV: LIST OF GOODS

    GST rate is 18% for most creative services

I am a Store Owner – How do I process a received order ?

Product Listing
  • Initiate an order and update order status. Once you receive an order, immediately update the order status by entering the expected delivery date under your order page. Find out the shipping & delivery timelines from your local shipping/postal/courier company.
  • Pack your product. If you have received an order for your product listing then have a plan on how to wrap your product properly so that it does not get damaged during shipping. Discuss with your shipping company on the best packaging material specific to your product. E.g., bubble wrap a product or fill the shipping box with styrofoam to avoid product damage during shipping & handling.
  • Include Order invoice. From your order page, print the order invoice and include it with shipping box.
  • Include the copy of your Digital Authenticity Certificate. Printout your store’s authenticity certificate from your store dashboard. Your buyers will appreciate surety of original artwork and authorizing the work that you are selling. Including the artwork authenticity certificate will help to build confidence between buyer and seller and hence more re-orders.
  • Ship your product. Carefully pack your product and ship it.
  • Order Discussions. Each order is powered with secure discussions between buyer and seller. Artistter admin can also participate in order discussions in case of dispute.
Service Listing
  • Initiate an order and update order status. Once you receive an order, immediately update the order status by entering the expected delivery date under your order page. Find out the shipping & delivery timelines from your local shipping/postal/courier company.
  • Order Discussions. Each order is powered with secure discussions between buyer and seller. Discuss your order with buyer for any custom work.
  • Work files transfer. Buyer can submit the any order specific files under order discussion. Similar, Seller can deliver the product upon completion under order discussion as well.
  • Complete the Order. Seller will require to complete the order in order to get paid from buyer. Seller will need to request Service Fulfillment Code (SFC) from buyer in order to complete the order. On order page, click order status, enter SFC and complete the order. Once the order is complete, Artistter will release the payment (after Artistter’s share and transaction costs) to Seller.

I am a Store Owner – How do I get paid?

Easy! For your buyers' peace of mind, we will hold onto all funds automatically until you fulfill the order. Once you do so, we will hand over what's rightly yours.

Alternatively, you can submit a Payment Request to Artistter from your seller account under store dashboard. There is a two weeks of buffer time until you get paid for each processed order. Artistter require a minimum threshold amount of $10 for payment request.
